As we near the end of your preconstruction services for Building 26 and this being our first significant project with RN Rouse, I want to express my gratitude for the professional and comprehensive services your team, and especially you two, have provided. I’d like to highlight a few of the areas where I believe you added value to the project:
• Your construction cost estimates, based on preliminary drawings and narratives, were thorough, complete, easy to follow, and well-documented.
• Your schedule took into account the multi-phased construction approach required by your working on an active site and with stringent milestone constraints.
• Your construction reviews and recommendations were timely and well-considered.
• The value engineering process you directed was not the generally-anticipated cost cutting exercise, but was skillfully approached, resulting in true value for Biogen Idec: a better project at less cost.
The collaborative attitude shown by you and your team during this phase has set the stage for what I am sure will be a successful project for Biogen Idec. I appreciate your efforts and the results they have achieved, and I look forward to our continuing to work together on this project.
