Since its founding
in 1929, R.N. Rouse & Co., Inc. has established a long history regarding
military construction. When Camp Lejeune, in Jacksonville, North Carolina, was
first being established in the1940’s, R.N Rouse, Sr. successfully completed
several of the initial projects that were installed at that facility. Mr. Rouse,
along with his son R.N. Rouse Jr., continued to emphasize military construction
during the 1950’s and 1960’s. R.N Rouse Jr. placed even greater emphasis
on military construction during the 1970’s and early 1980’s. The
current management group has been in place since 1984 and military construction
has been an important part of the Company business plan since that time. Due
to the massive military construction initiative that the government will undertake
between 2006 and 2011 at North Carolina facilities, R.N. Rouse & Co., Inc.
decided in 2005 to establish a separate military group to handle its military
effort. In September 2006, the Company was awarded a 5 year Design-Build Multiple
Award Construction Contract by NAVFAC MidAtlantic. As a result of that award,
the Company will have the opportunity to complete numerous facilities for NAVFAC
during the next 5 years. This MACC contract represents only part of R.N. Rouse & Co.,
Inc.’s continuing effort to build on its strong tradition in military construction.
In addition to the MACC contract, the Company will actively pursue other individual
and multiple award contracts that fit the Company’s business model. A partial
