Project Summary

The 87,000 SF renovation of this six-story library facility updates the building technologically and prepares it for the 21st century. Upgrades were made to all areas of the facility including administration areas, teaching areas, central circulation area, computer rooms, computer workstations, reference areas, and support spaces. Design issues include reworking the main entrance to the library and carefully installing upgraded HVAC equipment that can handle the special needs of the books and periodicals. Other program issues include developing a new, flexible infrastructure for data, communication and power, ADA Compliance, as well as areas for private and group study and research. An advanced technology room has the latest computer and A/V equipment for professors, students and vendors to show off and experiment with new software, programs, etc.
